Suárez 12° y Ricky Stenhouse Jr al frente en la práctica final en Darlington
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. marcó el mejor tiempo en la práctica final en Darlington, con el mexicano Daniel Suárez saltando en el clasificador.

La velocidad media de vuelta de Stenhouse de 168.845 mph se estableció relativamente temprano en la sesión de 50 minutos. Kyle Larson terminó segundo (168.764 mph) y William Byron fue tercero (168.480 mph).
En seis inicios de carrera en Darlington, el mejor resultado de Stenhouse fue el 12º en la temporada pasada.
Kurt Busch, quien encabezó la primera sesión, terminó cuarto y Matt DiBenedetto completó los cinco primeros.
Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano y Alex Bowman cerraron los 10 primeros.
