Meeke marca el mejor tiempo en el shakedown en Córcega
Kris Meeke y Citroën se pusieron al frente en la sesión previa al inicio del Tour de Córcega, cuarta fecha del WRC y donde Sébastien Loeb tendrá una nueva participación.

En la temporada 2017 del Campeonato Mundial de Rallies, el Tour de Córcega fue amargo para Citroën y Kris Meeke. El norirlandés tuvo que retirarse ante fallas en su C3 WRC mientras lideraba la competencia. 12 meses después, Meeke y la marca francesa regresan para intentarlo de nueva cuenta y el jueves lograron el mejor tiempo en el shakedown.
Kris Meeke marcó un tiempo de 4m00.8s, superando así a su más cercano perseguidor, el Hyundai de Andreas Mikkelsen. Hyundai puede mirar la carrera con gran confianza, habiendo colocado a sus tres pilotos oficiales inmediatamente detrás de Meeke.
Thierry Neuville y Dani Sordo se ubicaron en el tercer y cuarto sitio, con el español siendo medio Segundo más lento en comparación de su compañero belga.
El primer Ford Fiesta WRC en la clasificación fue el de Sébastien Ogier, con una desventaja de ocho décimas de Sordo y de 4.3 respecto a Kris Meeke.
Por su parte, Sébastien Loeb, al volante del segundo C3 fue el único de los pilotos del WRC en conseguir su mejor tiempo en la segunda de las tres pasadas que realizó.
El estonio Ott Tanak fue el líder de los Toyota por delante de Jari-Matti Latvala.
