Lance Stroll ha logrado un tiempo de 48.148 segundos para quedarse con la pole position para la primera carrera en el circuito de Norisring, con una ventaja de0.192 segundos sobre Callum Ilott seguido por Joel Eriksson.
El chino Guanyu Zhou y Nick Cassidy completaron los cinco primeros de la clasificación con una diferencia de apenas 0.227 segundos respecto al poleman.
